Grandma's funeral
This past Memorial weekend, we took a last minute trip up to Idaho. My grandma, my mom's mother, passed away. It was really crazy because she found out that she had cancer not even a week before it took her life. It was VERY aggressive and moved quickly. We are so sad to see grandma go, but my grandpa passed away two years ago, so now they are together again. That brings us peace and comfort. I am so greatful to have the truthfulness of the gospel in my life. It makes death a little easier to handle when we know that it's not the end. I have very fond memories of my grandma and grandpa Ottley. My grandpa loved to build things. I have may decorative shelves and items that he made. When I graduated from High School, he built me a beautiful hope chest. I will always have that momentum from him. My grandma instilled the love and beauty of flowers in me. She ALWAYS had lovely flowers everywhere. And one of my favorite things that I do today is get orange pushups from the Schwans man. My grandparents always had Schwan pushups in their freezer and us grandkids always ate them. The funeral was very nice and the time spent with family was priceless. Below is a picture of my grandma and grandpa Ottley that I got from a locket from my grandma's jewerly chest. I love them and I will miss them until we meet again.
