Silver Lining

It's been too long since I've blogged and I've missed it.
I've titled this blog "Silver lining" because it doesn't matter what happens in our lives, if we look for it we can always find someting positive.
Emery had a bit of a rough start with her presence to this new world, but she is doing so well now. She is growing and smiling and just takes my breathe away. I am so blessed to have her in my life. We all enjoy her. Afton comes home from school and first thing she wants to do is hold Emery. And in the morning, she gives Emery hugs and kisses before anything else.
Just to have her be here is our "silver lining."
****
Last Saturday, someone got into our car and stole our stereo, cd case full of cds, and maybe 15 cents in change. All while parked in our driveway. Scary!
Silver lining?
They were in our car, but didn't steal the car.
Greg was talking to our neighbor and their car was stolen!
I'm just so grateful that they didn't take my car.
****
I'm tired and my house is a wreck since my mom left.
But, our "Silver Lining" is that the kids are fed and happy.
A messy house is just proof that happy little children live here.
****
And the last "Silver lining" that I find in my life right now is that Greg has a job. He's been working 6 days a week and we don't get to see much of him when he works so much, but at least he has a job in today's economy.
We are truly blessed!!
I hope that you can all look for the "Silver Lining" in your lives. To look for it has given me a greater appreciation and has made me happier.
Love you all!

You are always so positive. What a good example! I don't know how you do it. Really. Emery, car, life in general is hard and you always make the best of it.

Thank you. I have silver linings too, but I love that you reminded me today! ((HUGS))
