In the kids classroom...

I love to go into the kids classroom and someday I want to be a homeroom mom, but with little ones at home, that day is not today. With that being said, I try to go in for the fun stuff, And as you can see in the following pictures "kindergarten is way more fun than 2nd grade," as Afton would say.
The pumpkin experiment with Afton:

The Rock museum with Brin:

I really liked it. We learned about hieroglyphics...pretty cool.

A farm (I can't remember the name.)

This one made me laugh because I grew up a country girl and here I am visiting a commercialized farm with a bunch of city kids.

Learning all about the Native American tribes. Just ask Brin a question..she knows it all.

Christmas parties for both classes:

Even though Afton says, "Kindergarten is more fun," I know that she loves 2nd grade. I don't have a picture of it, but I came into Afton's class one day with my Japan photo album and told her class about my experiences in Japan. I got a little ambitious and tried to teach them to make an origami star box. Yeah, it was a little, well, let's just say over their heads. I did it the night before and thought no problem. (Maybe in a group of two or three, but not 26.)

I started a swim team for Adams Traditional as well. It's slow going so far, but we have some meets set for this year and some plans for other schools, too. It's also at the butt crack of dawn.. yep I said butt crack. :)

I love being back in the water and coaching! It makes me feel like more than "mom" on those days that I need that.
