Koa's First Triathlon

 Makoa participated in his first triathlon. 

We told all his buddies about it and they all signed up to do it together.

Can you tell which ones are on swim team and which ones aren't? HA!

The local YMCA hosted the keiki triathlon. It was only $20 and Koa's group (10-12 yr. old boys) started at 8:00am.

They had a 200 yd swim, 3 mile bike, and 1.2 mile run.

Here's the dads.....

Started with the 200 yd swim. (which is less than his usual warmup at swim team)

Then it was off to get his shoes on and ride his bike. 

It was a 3 mile bike ride. 3 loops around the park.

Then a 1.2 mile run.

Koa Killed it! 

He came in FIRST place!!!

Koa loved it! I'm pretty sure he's hooked. 

The next Monday before swim team he went for a run in the park by the pool. He ran 2 miles and then came up for swim team. 

Then he told me he wanted to wake up early and run before school. Koa is so active, has so much energy and loves to be outside. 

He's such a Stud.

He even made the Maui Newspaper.
