How early is too early to be obsessed with books?
Or is it ever too early?
Makoa has a huge book obsession!
I love it, really I do except sometimes because as you know he's not even two and I'm the book reader. He brings books to Greg and I all the time and says "read book." (Think in baby talk, it's pretty dang cute.) It's more like "re book."
Today before his nap I read fifteen books before I stopped counting! I probably read twenty- twenty five books. He has these three Lightening McQueen books that he loves to read over and over and over and over and over. You get the picture.
I really do love that he loves to read. This is such and important time and he is such a sponge just soaking it all up, so I want to read to him.
But, enough is enough! When we tell him not now, he throws this big fit, crying, throwing books, the whole works. So, I usually give in and read more because how can I say no to reading to my growing baby boy. After saying that, I am read out today and he just brought me another book, so I pointed him toward daddy and said "Daddy will read to you." I can hear him in the other room reading and ready to be done. I have to giggle. Welcome to my world! I love you Greg!

When I was in the nursery the other night reading some books, he was front and center. It was funny as he got impatient to see what would happen on the next page. He could sit through about 5 words, then with a big smile of anticipation, he'd grab the page and turn in to see the next page. He is such a cute little guy!
