I have to admit it...
living in Camp Verde has turned my Greg into a redneck!
I loved living in Camp Verde, but there were a fair share of rednecks there.
I tried NOt to be one.
Greg however embraced it and skinned, gutted and cooked a rattlesnake that he shot.
On Friday, it was opening day of quail season and he took Chonee out with him. When they were all done and heading back to the car, Greg heard a rattle and Chonee and the snake noticed each other at the same time. Chonee thinks she's tough so, she was going after the snake and Greg shot the snake to save Chonee. He said that he's surprised that Chon didn't get bitten.
It's funny because Greg calls himself a conservationist.
He eats what he kills.
And he can provide food for his family.
I don't know if rattlesnake counts as food for the family.
Where's the big game, honey?
So, far we've seen javelina, dove, quail, and now rattlesnake.
What am I talking about! I'm a redneck, too.
I haven't combed my hair in two days and I let Greg stuff a javelina head and hang it on the wall.
And I'm blogging about my husband being a redneck!
I guess I can fight it or embrace it as Greg has. I think I'll try fighting it a little longer.
I'm not eating a rattlesnake!

That's awesome. We're coming to your house for dinner! So did Greg really eat the snake?
You are Hilarious! At least you know your family will never starve ;)
So, I finally caught up on your blog and it made me miss you. Little Emery is so cute and I was so proud of Afton in her swim competition. That is so awesome you got eggs! You're a regular farm girl now!
I hate to admit it, but my husband would love your husband.
