Summer Swim Team....we did it!

This post is a little backwards..We have the metals at the top, and the ribbons and the races at the bottom...
But, what are we most proud of anyway...The METALS, of course...

The girls with their coaches...Krista even jumped in at one of the meets to help Brin down the lane..I know Brin could have done it, but she was being a turd and wouldn't let go of the lane line and swim. Krista jumped in and stayed next to Brin while she swam...we luv Krista!!!!

Way to go Brin!!! We are so proud of her..this was her first year!

Afton's a natural now! She loved swim team this year... I don't know if any of you remember last year, but she did not want to swim at ANY of the meets last year. We got her to finally swim at the last one and she did great.. and that was all it took because she ROCKED this year!

WE even talked the cousins into joining and they did awesome, too!

Koa is such a StuD!.. just hanging out at the meet...

I had to post this picture because it was just so funny.. Koa made a friend with the daughter of a friend that Greg grew up with..they were so funny to watch interact with each other. Koa would do silly things and his little friend would giggle at him, so then he would do more silly things..like run and fall down''laughing all the way"..so cute.

Right on.. Afton got first place in freestyle!!!

Greg volunteered to give out sticks...(when the kids finished the race, volunteers would hand out sticks with the # of place they got and then the kids would take thier sticks to the office and get their ribbons.)

These are the ribbons for the first swim meet of the season. They did so well!

Brin was not all that happy about being there and she wanted to go home...she sat on this bench pouting instead of swimming the rest of her events...

These are videos from the first swim meet.. I wasn't there at the begginning becasue I was teaching swim lessons. They came with Aunt Scottee and I'm glad they did becasue Brin swam until she saw me...the last video is the best one..

... it's so funny at how bad of parents we are for making our kids do something that they don't want to..Brin got off easy this year.. at least I didn't throw her in...
