We have about twenty banana trees in our yard and it seems like they all produce at the same time. We won't have any for a long time and then we have too many to eat.
So, we have learned how to dehydrate them. And they are so good to eat this way. I think that I , actually I know that I eat more bananas this way.
It is Emery's favorite treat as well and she loves to help make them too.
Just a little tip, don't forget the Pam cooking spray. We forgot once and they were impossible to get off the trays. It was a sad day.
Also, you'll notice that our bananas are cut longways. The bananas are small and they are fun to eat this way. Less work than cutting them in circles like I did the first few times.
We let them dehydrate for about eight hours and they are pliable and yummy in the end.
Oh, and no need for cinnamon and sugar like I would do on the mainland. These bananas are so sweet all by themselves.
