Kai the Fly Guy

Kai is our favorite oldest swimmer on the Dolphins. His name is fly guy because he loves to swim butterfly and it rhythms, of course. For a swim-a-fun fundraiser he swam all fly. That's an hour of just butterfly. He is Crazy!
 He is so patient with all the younger swimmers that adore him so much.
He's off to college and we couldn't let him get away without a goodbye party.



Afton planned most of it. She got him a inner tube that everyone signed and set up the surprise water balloon attack.

I can't believe he is trusting her...

 

CarolAnn brought brownies and we did a mini potluck as well.

 

Afton even put together a google slides video for him of pictures with the team and the ever popular "I wear speedos" Mikey video.

Nell is Kai's mom and we love her, too.

This post is from a year ago and just this last month Nell has moved away as well. So we really did say goodbye to Kai when we did.
I'm sure they will visit us when they come back.
